Diversity Advocacy

The Department of Diversity Advocacy is dedicated to fighting for students who are typically underrepresented at AU and beyond. We focus on Multicultural students, students with disabilities, and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) students. This year we will be working on project like an African American Studies major in CAS, gender-neutral housing, removing the exclusion for transgender students in our University health insurance plan, making sure all buildings are more accessible to students with disabilities, and testing the wheel chair access lifts in the shuttles are in proper working order. Those are only a few of the many ideas of issues we can work on this year. If you would like to help, we would love to have you. Please contact me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for an application to be a Diversity Advocate!
